angel came out of nowhere
and vanish without a warning
angel, like and angel
just like these 2 young ladies i bumped with last night. the moment they step on the train, i can certainly tell that they are learning very well from the flight attendant school. still trainees, as revealed by their wcc aviation uniform, but a distinctive personality are already in plain sight. lucky enough one sat by my side. i can’t help myself but say “ang ganda mo ate,” and i was replied by a pleasant smile. nonetheless it’s already past 8:00 in the evening, her face still depicts a sunrise: so fresh, so bright. hay, nakaka-bobo talaga. but it’s already a station away from home and still, i can’t find words to start a conversation. hirap talaga ng torpe… tsek! tsek! tsek! bye for now. will see you again soon. on board, i hope. or maybe along the hangar.
and when she moves
the way she glides across the room
just like an angel
i wish that i could see her one more time
and every time i saw one rekindles my childhood dream of working in the aviation industry. the hope is still there. the possibility is still there. i believe.
for now i’ll just enjoy watching attendants’ flight while waiting for my chance. sooner i hope… sayang ang miles.
